Catalogue Note

A graduated set of four functional measuring spoons in warm copper finish, stamped with metric and imperial volume markings: 1/4 tsp (1.25 ml), 1/2 tsp (2.5 ml), 1 tsp (5 ml), and 1 tbsp (15 ml). The bowls are deeply drawn and polished to a lustrous sheen, with gently tapered handles and a graceful curve characteristic of contemporary kitchen implements. Condition is excellent, with only light use evident; the finish remains even and unblemished throughout.

Spoon Lore

Measuring spoons in graduated sets became standard kitchen equipment only in the mid-20th century, as precise home baking and recipe-following gained cultural prominence; before then, cooks relied on eyeing quantities or using ordinary flatware as approximations.
