Spoon Lore
Khokhloma is a centuries-old Russian decorative technique combining hand-painted wooden wares with a gold-leaf finish that creates the distinctive lustrous effect. Soviet Khokhloma spoons became popular exports from the 1950s onward, cherished both as functional serving pieces and as ambassadors of Russian folk art in Western households.
